At the ShamRockk Foundation, we don’t treat scholarships as a single package or a one-size-fits-all award. We view each scholarship as an investment in a young man’s next chapter.
ShamRockk scholarships are intentionally flexible. Depending on the needs of the dancer, the timing of the award, and the funding available, a scholarship may focus on financial support, mentorship, professional development, or a combination of these elements. What remains consistent is our commitment to supporting young men through one of the most demanding and uncertain transitions in ballet: the shift from training to professional life.
Our scholarships are designed for pre-professional and second company male ballet dancers who are deeply committed to their craft and who show up with integrity, humility, and respect for the people around them. These are young men who work hard, remain coachable, and contribute positively to the environments they train in.

ShamRockk scholarships vary in scope and structure. Depending on the specific award, a recipient may receive one or more of the following forms of support:
Some scholarships may focus primarily on financial assistance. Others may center on mentorship and professional development. In some instances, a scholarship may combine multiple forms of support.
ShamRockk scholarships are awarded through several pathways, depending on the nature of the award and the opportunity available at the time. These include:
All ShamRockk scholarships are awarded in alignment with our Who Is a ShamRockk values framework [Are You a ShamRockk?], which reflects the standard Remi set through how he trained, worked, and showed up for others.
While the structure of each award may differ, every scholarship is granted with care, intention, and a focus on the dancer’s long-term well-being, not just short-term success.
The ShamRockk Foundation Ballet Competition Scholarship recognizes young male dancers (aged 16-24) who, like Remi Wagner, demonstrate exceptional artistry, inviting stage presence, technical ability, and perseverance in the competitive ballet arena. We are also looking for dancers who work hard, take corrections with diligence and grace during the master classes, and show professionalism, kindness, and teamwork off-stage
Winners are chosen by a panel of judges at select regional and national ballet competitions, ensuring that their talent and dedication are acknowledged on a broader stage. Our current competition partners include: YAGP and Young Dancers Competition
This scholarship provides monetary awards and sponsorships to support these dancers as they take the next steps toward professional careers. By rewarding excellence in competition, the ShamRockk Foundation continues its mission of empowering young men in ballet and ensuring they have the resources to thrive in the professional world.
The ShamRockk Foundation School Nomination Scholarship honors the legacy of Remi Wagner by recognizing young male ballet dancers (16-24) who embody the hard work, resilience, and teamwork required for success in the professional world of dance.
Nominated by their school teachers, choreographers, or directors, these exceptional dancers demonstrate the ability to quickly take and implement corrections, along with a dedication to their craft and peers.
Each year, our advisory board carefully reviews nominations and selects outstanding recipients who will receive monetary awards and sponsorships to support their transition from school to a professional ballet company. This scholarship is designed to ease the financial burden of pursuing a ballet career while empowering young dancers to continue their artistic journey.
