Do you have a male ballet student who embodies dedication, artistry, and a strong work ethic? If so, we invite you to nominate them for a ShamRockk Foundation Ballet Scholarship.

The ShamRockk Foundation is committed to recognizing and supporting dedicated young men in ballet, through scholarships, stipends, professional mentoring, mental and physical health support, exclusive discounts and opportunities. This scholarship honors the passion, perseverance, and artistry required to transition from pre-professional training to the professional stage.

• Male ballet dancers between the ages of 16 and 24
• Enrolled in or accepted into a pre-professional/trainee ballet program
• Demonstrates strong musicality, expressive artistry, and technical skill
• Has a strong work ethic and desire to learn
• Works well with fellow students and is a team player
• Willingness and ability to take and implement corrections
• Shows clear potential for a successful professional ballet career
• Leadership qualities are a plus, but not required

Only instructors, artistic directors, or choreographers may submit nominations. Students cannot apply on their own. The nomination process includes:

1. Letter of Recommendation – Describe the nominee’s work ethic, professionalism, coachability, and artistic potential.
2. Video Submission – 3-5 minute performance video showcasing the dancer’s technique, musicality, and expression. Includes a brief (1-minute) introduction from the student.
3. Proof of Enrollment – Confirmation from the training program or instructor.

A panel of ballet professionals and ShamRockk Foundation members of our ADVISORY BOARD will review all nominations. Finalists may be invited for a Zoom interview. Selections will be based on:

• Dedication, technical acumen, and artistic expression
• Ability to take and apply corrections effectively
• Contribution to a positive training environment
• Demonstrated potential for a successful ballet career

Recipients of the ShamRockk Foundation Scholarship will receive: 

• $250 cash awards each for four deserving young men*
• Tuition assistance for ballet training at an approved program 
• Possible stipends and exclusive discounts for dancewear, travel, or audition fees 
• Mentorship opportunities with professional dancers and industry experts
