At the ShamRockk Foundation, our mission is to champion young men in ballet as they make the critical leap from ballet school to the professional stage. This stage of a dancer’s journey is often filled with uncertainty—and even isolation—in a world that can feel lonely and disconnected for male dancers. Our goal is to provide not only the guidance and resources they need but also a strong sense of belonging and connection.
Through our collaboration with ballet-focused mentoring platforms, we’re already seeing the tangible impact of this work. Recent mentees have achieved remarkable milestones—earning spots in world-renowned summer intensives, securing company promotions, and receiving invitations to train with elite ballet programs. These successes are just the beginning of what’s possible when talented dancers are given the right tools, relationships, and support.
At this time, ShamRockk Foundation works in collaboration with some of the most respected mentoring platforms in the country to ensure the young men we serve have access to thoughtful, professional, and dancer-centered mentorship. Through these partnerships, dancers receive more than technical guidance. They gain real-world perspective, honest professional insight, and the reassurance of being supported by people who understand the unique demands of this path. Our goal is simple: to make sure no dancer feels like they have to navigate this journey alone.
As we continue to grow and refine this program, our focus remains on creating a strong and enduring support system—one that fosters resilience, connection, artistic excellence, and opportunity. We’re excited to share updates soon as we launch new resources and continue to build a community where young men in ballet can thrive both as artists and as individuals.
The Male Dance Connection exists to unite male dancers worldwide, creating a community of engagement, learning, and growth. Like the ShamRockk Foundation, they believe that boys and men in dance face unique challenges that are often overlooked—and it is their mission to meet those needs with resources, mentorship, and collaboration. In fostering safe connections, shared learning, and mutual support, TMDC empowers male dancers to grow personally, artistically, and professionally—strengthening not only the individual but the art form itself. This includes:
The Male Dance Connection is helping build a future where no male dancer feels isolated, and every dancer has the support needed to thrive on stage and beyond.
