ShamRockk's Green Room is a free, on-demand academy that teaches dancers the life and career skills pre-professional training leaves out — contracts, life skills, budgeting, self-marketing, and resilience — so they're ready for the business side and the lifestyle of a dance career, not just the stage. Delivered through a self-paced, earned Professional Readiness Credential® across six units, it's built on research showing most dance professionals piece together careers with little formal preparation for that reality.
Every class is structured in a creative multi-engagement format so that learning is easy and comfortable for all learning styles.
Green Room is a program of the ShamRockk Foundation, keeping the core curriculum free forever for every dancer who needs it.
The Green Room is the school ballet never gave you. Through an on-demand Professional Readiness Credential — six core courses plus electives — we teach every dancer, from ballet school through the first years of company life, the life and business skills almost none of them are formally taught.
We envision a professional dance world where "nobody teaches you this" is no longer true for anyone — where every dancer steps into a company already equipped to manage their own career, and where the Professional Readiness Credential is recognized by schools and companies alike as proof a dancer is ready for what's next.
